Wright's classic lyrics are lifted from their original sonic setting and rehomed into an aching requiem, a meditative soundpool for deep contemplation.

about
This is my interpretation of the song written by Bobby Wright ( Abu Talib) in 1974. I heard it first time couple years ago when Melodies International reissued it on 7". I instantly fell in love with Bobby's voice, lyrics, emotion and the message that spreads: the message of love and peace. I worked on my version for two years on and off. I hope it calms and soothes everyone who will listen and I hope that more people will discover Bobby's music.
lyrics
"This world need not hurt no more
Sorry world, even though I love you so
There is no one to turn to
And no one to blame
For the blood of American has scandalized our name
No, world, don't you sit, sit and cry
No, world, don’t you even try
There is no one to turn to
And what will you do
When the blood of American is poured out over you?
When the blood of American is poured out over you?
Who can I turn to?
Who can I turn to?
Who can I turn to?
What will you do?
Evildoing the American has poured out over you
Evildoing of America has rubbed off on you
All the blood of American has scandalized our name
Evildoing of America has scandalized our name"

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell

I haven't heard anything as just completely perfectly formed out of the gate--every decision the right one, what to include but more what to exclude--maybe ever. Don't know who Sault is, but they do not sound like they could be anyone who hasn't paid some dues to get this good. Or signed some Satanic contracts. 100% confidence, and it sounds 110% earned.
